Forever and A Day

If you're a Filipino, you would know this is a movie starring KC Concepcion and Sam Milby. Yes, I watched it a while ago. I was very late since it was showing August or September last year. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. But don't blame me, I live down under. It's a must to be late in to whatever movie that's currently showing in States or where ever place. Haha, anyway.. I'm a sucker for a KC Concepcion movie. Everytime I watch KC my life gets better. I swear. So I was arguing with myself to watch Forever and A Day before really deciding to give it a try, I don't know why but I kinda hate the trailer 'coz KC has a cancer. I don't want her to die. Of course! She's my favourite. That should explain why I was having second thoughts on watching the movie. Again, KC is my favourite and she just never disappoints. Swear I tried so hard not to cry. I didn't, lucky.

The story itself was very exciting and sad at the same time. Imagine living your life knowing you'll be dying anytime soon? Of course we die, but we don't know when. It was different to Raffy(KC Concepcion), she knew she was gonna die. She knew her life has to end and there was no chance to save it. She makes the most of her life by visiting Cagayan de Oro, which is by the way on my bucket list of places to visit when I'll be in the Philippines. She tried every dangerous adventure she could ever do in her lifetime. Thank God, Eugene(Sam Milby), who was also on vacation to escape his work in a shoe company, was there to encourage(at first it wasn't really ecouraging but more of like insulting that she's weak) her to be strong and to survive those adventures. Zipline and river rafting just to mention a few. Eugene also did not know that Raffy is suffering from cancer. They had the most awesome vacation ever. Raffy said something that really catched my attention, something about shoes. For your information, Eugene works as a shoe designer and he also noticed that Raffy was wearing one of his products. 'Shoes are the least appreciated thing in the world', shoes carry us. True. We people are burden of shoes. And a lot of us here couldn't live without them. I can't.

So before this blog goes out of hand, let me tell you that the movie has a lot of lesson to teach you. First, appreciating your life. Second, never give up. Third, when it comes to love.. You just love. You can't just choose where, how, and who that person is. Fourth, you don't always have the worst problem in this world. Remember some people are also having their own. It's not just you. Fifth, let go.. Even if it hurts too much. Sixth, it's not always goodbye. Sometimes it's just 'til we meet again.

I can't sum all the lessons up but I tried. If you haven't watched the movie yet, what are you waiting for?! Go watch it! It's worth your time. And again, KC just never disappoints. I love her, and I always will. ❤

Okay, 'til we meet again.

Xo, k.
