Cebu Pacific Name (Suffix) Changed

It is always scary and stressful when you realise that you had a spelling mistake in the name of one or more members of the family or friends traveling with you when you booked, usually online, on any airlines.

Recently, my Tita (Auntie) booked us, my parents, me and my little brother, a flight from MNL to ILO (Philippines) with Cebu Pacific Airlines and without even noticing, she made a mistake with the name suffix of my little brother. Instead of III, she had booked Jr. When I realised it was wrong, I called her and talked to her about calling Cebu Pacific and asks if that would be alright but then she said that some of her colleagues travel without using their suffix so she thinks it should be alright. Also, she said she will make a fake ID that would replace III to Jr in my little brother's name. I was okay with her decision but being the computer geek that I am, I usually read forums online and to know more about the problem of the name change for Cebu Pacific Airlines, I googled it. I actually found some useful suggestions online when I encountered blogs and yahoo answers that talked about it. There were some who said it was okay as long as it is not an international flight and there some who said that I need to pay 800PHP for the name change, which I would not mind if it means less worries. I also found a blog, which has information about my query, that says it was free and that you need a notified affidavit for the name change.

My guts told me I should check out Cebu Pacific's Website FAQs and try if any of the questions corresponds to my current problem. The FAQ's suggested I should call their hot line (+632-70-20-888), so I did. I called in and was surprised that the call centre agents picked up the phone real quick, it is unusual because you know, call centre's are not really the best when it comes to answering calls quickly. The reservation's agent, as what Cebu Pacific calls their call centre agents, asked my flight details, reservation number, email address and passengers name for security purpose which is easily found in your itinerary so no worries. I told the agent about my problem and she said she will process the suffix change and before she did that she confirmed the details first. She never told me that I have anything to pay by the way. She then asked me to stay on the line for three to five minutes for her to process the name changed and when she was done she told me that the new itinerary will be sent on the email address that was provided in my booking, she also asked me if I want to send it in to a new email address which I declined because it is alright as long as the problem has been solved. I thanked her for her help because I think she is really nice and helpful. The call lasted for about 12 minutes because Cebu Pacific were very detailed about their booking rules and introduction which could be useful for a lot of people.

Right now, I am worry free and I do not need fake IDs. Just take note the the sooner you inform them with your problems the better they will help you. If ever you are encountering the same or worse problem that this in Cebu Pacific Airlines, just dial their call centre number (+632-70-20-888) and ask for help. If ever you stumbled in my blog, I hope this post can help you. :) Questions? Asks and I will answer.

Supposed to be fun summer vacation

University days were long gone. Exams and presentations were all in the past. Hittin' the beach and enjoying life should be the agenda for the next few months instead of being stuck at home and not doing anything at all.

The ideal summer vacation: life enjoyment. I have been busy doing that for the past few weeks. Guess what? I am back in to the hobby of being an Asian Drama Freak. I remember staying up late until three in the morning when I was in high school because I am watching Korean and Taiwanese dramas online and it is all catching up to me now. I have a to watch list which I posted on my twitter account (@kkpjaena, go and follow please) which should be done before I actually go on a holiday and leave the country to check out other cool countries. So far, I am almost done with four TV series and I have finished watching two great movies. I will continue with another ten more or so in the next few weeks. I will also download the series because just in case I will be bored while I am up in the air, you know, with no internet and no other things to do except stare at the seat in front of me. Hopefully, I will be done with all of them before I take off. Who knows? I might post a review of all the dramas I have watched here? Although I doubt that because I am too lazy to type.

Anyway, I do hope someone really enjoys their summer vacation. Suggest me some Korean and Taiwanese dramas if you have any idea. I would appreciate it. :)

Later, loves.

The most amazing iPhone since iPhone

After about two months of waiting on the line, I finally received my iPhone 5 last week. It took me almost everyday to check Apple's, Optus' and Virgin's website for the famous iPhone 5. Apple can take about.a month to ship, Optus was still out of stock while Virgin has very limited stock. I decided to go with Virgin because I can't wait for another month or so. I have been with the iPhone 4 for almost two years so you probably know the feeling.

I ordered the iPhone 5 in White and Silver with a 32gb capacity. I decided to go with the white and silver even though am I really in love with black iPhone's because of the reviews and feedbacks I've been reading online. The black and slate that can be easily prone to scratches revealing the silver aluminium in the corner and sides of the iPhone 5 according to the reviews while some customers complained about the scratches while the black and slate iPhone 5 were still in the box and has not been used yet. It turns out to be true because I decided to take a trip to the Apple Retail Store and observed that the black and slate iPhone 5 has silver scratches on it. It sucks but the users has got to live with it since it's the result of the new, improved design.

The first time I opened my iPhone 5 the first thing I checked was the corner and sides of it. That's just me I guess, I want my iPhone to be perfect. Luckily, there were no scratches or whatsoever. Although I can probably say that the sides and corner are not that comfortable compared to the old ones. It has like a material that can cause a cut on your skin feeling, like you will be aware that it is not as flawless. I don't think it is a problem though as no one complained about it. I haven't had a chance to feel the new back design yet as I decided to leave the plastic that is protecting it. While the new and improved design is great, it is not that perfect yet.

The annoying rattling sound that has been occuring since the iPhone 4 is still present when you tap the back part near the camera of the iPhone 5. Apple has not released an official statement about why it occurs yet but some users and experts are guessing it is the vibrator or the zoom of the camera that has been causing the sound. It doesn't affect the performance of the iPhone 5 though so that is all that matters.

The performance, compared to the old iPhones, was completely amazing. It is fast and for me the battery lasts longer compared to my iPhone 4. While it can still be improved, I would not want my iPhone 5 in any other way. Due to its large screen though, some applications like youtube, appears in the middle of the screen. I hope apps are yet to be updated to suit the iPhone 5 screen really well. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook suits the large screen so it is not a problem for users who regularly use the apps mentioned.

It may not be the best smartphone out in the market today but my fellow Apple lovers sure is completely contented until the next new iPhone is revealed. With its larger screen and lighter weight, for me, it's the best mobile phone I've owned.

Later, lovers.
